Orange River Namibia
Want to experience the Namibia outdoors? Spend three days on the Orange River, learn about nature and sleep on the riverbeds? Then join us on this unique trip!
You will find the Orange River at the border with Namibia, well known for it’s canoe trips! No experience is needed for this tour.
This 4 day trip will start from Cape Town where we leave early in the morning for a long drive (700km) up to the border of Namibia. We will stop along the way to have some lunch. When we arrive at the base camp in the afternoon, we will prepare for the next days on the Orange River. We will get a safety briefing and how to pack for the trip. The guides will prepare a delicious dinner on open fire.
The next morning the fun is going to start! We will start rowing down the river today, in total we will row 36km during this trip. During the day the guides will teach us more about the animals, bird species, rock formations and sand rock engravings along the way. There will be some time to do some swimming. Tonight we will sleep outside on the riverbed under the stars!
On saturday we will continue our journey and row untill 15:00 in the afternoon. This is when we return to base camp where we have to time to relax and enjoy the afternoon down at the river for some sunbathing. A nice dinner will be prepared for us again and we reflect on our experience while we have some drinks around the fire.
